Keeping QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 after Service ends on 5/31/22 - Who's with me??

I am seriously thinking of keeping QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 after Service ends on 5/31/22.

The only drawback that I can see is that I will no longer be able to automatically download my Checking Account transactions using the built-in automated Bank Feeds.

Anyone out there also thinking of keeping QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 after Service ends on 5/31/22??

Would love to hear from you if you are - and if you have solved the fact that you can no longer use the Bank Feeds?

Thanks in advance!

I have, and continue to use QB desktop after the support period ends, there are no problems with doing so other than the lack of downloads

You can utilize a 3rd party tool to import the bank statement in CSV/XLS format.

Good day, JayNumber5.

I'm here to show you how to manually transactions in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

In addition to Fiat Lux - Asia's suggestion, you'll want to consider using the Web Connect option if your bank has this feature. This will allow you to set a date range for downloading bank transactions. There are two ways to do that. The first is in QuickBooks and the second is outside QuickBooks.

Inside QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Hover over Bank Feeds and select Banking Center.
  3. Find your bank and select Download Transactions. This opens a browser window to your bank's website.
  4. Sign in to your bank's website to download the Web Connect file.

Outside QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. Open a web browser and go to your bank’s website.
  2. Sign in to your bank account using your normal process.
  3. Download your transactions as a QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) file.

Note: Every bank has a different method for downloading QuickBooks Web Connect files. If you're not sure how to do it, visit your bank's website and look for their steps. If you can't find any, reach out to your bank for help.

  1. Once you have the Web Connect file, follow the steps to import it into QuickBooks Desktop.

More details about downloading bank feed transactions in QBDT can be found in this article: Download Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

I am on the verge of being done with Quickbooks. They force the Admin sign in garbage on you and refuse to listen to the many users who clearly want the option to turn it off. They reply like a broken record it's for "security" even though people complaining are a small business and no one has access to their PC.

Now you are telling us we have to upgrade our OS to Win 10 garbage?

I am well aware of my PC and it's security and do not need someone telling me what is secure and what is not.

If Quickbooks was so concerned about security they would offer a Linux application which is more secure than Ios or windows. Another item many users have begged QB to do but refuse to listen to.
