Thank you for reaching out to the Community, MacMig.

The error you’re seeing when moving your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac file to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a JavaScript error, typically caused by missing or improperly loaded code during page execution. It can occur on page loads, button clicks, form submissions, or when using the migration tool.

Since the migration tool itself can trigger this, it’s important to use the tool that’s appropriate for your QBDT version. You can utilize the online migration tool to transfer your data to QBO.

Here’s how:

  1. Convert your QBDT for Mac company file to QuickBooks for Windows before using the tool.
Note: If your company data exceeds 4,000,000 targets, you’ll need to condense your file.
  2. Open the online migration tool, select Get Started, and sign in with your Intuit account.
  3. Click Select File and locate the QBDT company file you want to transfer.
Note: The tool only allows one file upload at a time.
  4. Choose Open to upload the file, or drag and drop it into the tool.
  5. After upload, the tool automatically updates your company file to the latest version of QBDT.
  6. You'll then see the option to move your file to QBO.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the migration. When finished, you’ll receive an email confirming your company data has been successfully moved to QBO.
