I see the mobile app has very limited capabilities with inventory. Am I missing something or is not possible to see on hand product inventory within the mobile quickbooks app?

Hello McLaindistribution,
Currently, viewing the inventory on-hand is unavailable in the mobile version. Instead, you can open your account in a regular browser and view the information.
I'd also recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team. To do that, tap the Ellipsis icon, and choose Feedback. Enter your feedback and contact information, then tap Send.
We always update QuickBooks Online features based on our customer's requests.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any other questions about QuickBooks. Thanks.

Hi,
Has this feature been added to the QuickBooks Mobile app yet?
Regards Kirrilly
Hi there, Kirrilly.
Currently, tracking inventory through the QuickBoos mobile app is unavailable.
For now, I suggest to track your inventory through a web browser.
I'd like you to let you know that I'm going to submit a feature request from my side, which is sent to the Product Development Team. They're constantly looking for great ideas from users, like yourself, when deciding how to enhance QuickBooks.
I suggest visiting our QuickBooks blog site to know more about the latest updates in QuickBooks Online.
We want to ensure we continue to provide exceptional service. Let me know should you have any follow-up questions. I'm always here to help. Take care always.
But the QuickBooks team should have known this and not wait for us to send them feedback on this.
Quantity at hand is a must on all your platforms.
Thanks
Having this option to all our platforms is a good idea, @Geoffrey Alor.
The app has a different platform compared to a web browser because of its limitation. Our Product Developers are working hard for sure to implement all of your suggestions.
You can visit our blog site, as mentioned by my colleague to get more latest updates.
We appreciate every suggestion, Geof. Please know that Community is always here to help.
Will this be available for QB Desktop?
We really need to be able to have inventory information available on an app. I made my own in Filemaker Pro and it works very well. It took about 3 hours to set up.
I would much rather have it available on a QB app to keep from having to enter information twice.
Consider using a 3rd party inventory mangenement app and integrate it with your QB Desktop. You may manage your inventory status on your mobile device and it will sync with your inventory data in QuickBooks. The license costs $995/mobile device.
Hi,
Is Inventory Tracking available on the QB Mobile app yet? I need to be able to see the inventory on hand on my cell phone while I am visiting customers, is there any solution for this yet? I cannot login to QB Online on a computer at all times.

I'll take note of this idea.

Hi,
When can we expect to have this inventory function working on the mobile app? We have been hearing that it is in progress for more than a year now.
Hello OBA_,
Let me share some clarification about the inventory function in QuickBooks Online.
Currently, there's no specific date when the feature will be available in the mobile app. As a workaround, you can use the web browser of your device to access QuickBooks and track inventory.
I appreciate your input on this feature. As we assess this, I suggest you visit our QuickBooks Blog to stay updated with all the changes that are being made.
Also, I've attached an article you can use to know more about adding inventory products: Add inventory products in QuickBooks Online.
Leave a comment below if you have any other questions about tracking inventory. I'll be more than happy to help. Wishing you a good one.
So the original post on this thread was 2 years ago now. How much feed back do you need?
This is a basic function for anyone selling products. Without it it makes sale almost uless as you can't see how much product you have to sell.
Without it it makes the app pretty much useless.

Hi,
It's the year 2021 and it has been almost 3 years since the QB launch the Mobile Inventory App. We are a QB enterprise user in a desktop user environment. I was hoping the mobile inventory app would allow our warehouse picker to know the on hand quantity which would make their job much more efficient. In a real life picking cycle, it's pretty common that a picker is trying to pick an item from a known location but found out that we do not have enough quantity on the physical location. If the app can show the on hand quantity at the moment, he/she would search around that physical location more carefully. Otherwise, he/she would need to walk back to desktop and waste time walking and forth. We live in the 21st century and every information should be AT OUR FINGER TIPS!
I just do not understand why QB mobile inventory would left this very simple but critical feature out of their mobile inventory app and trying to promote this app like it would save you time and effort. Unless QB has some sort of agreement with the other 3rd party inventory software company that QB can not release an app that would show this on hand quantity.
Are you using QBD Enterprise? You may utilize a 3rd party app to integrate with your QBD. One app has the stocktake function which allows you to count stock 'in the field' using a smartphone or tablet, then sync your stock counts back to the app to create an adjustment or adjustments. It can be used for your initial stocktake, or any subsequent stocktake you make throughout the year.
Which app provides this function?
Do you have QB Online or Desktop?

Send your business email address in a private message to us. We will introduce your directly to app developer.
Any word on when inventory management will be available on the app version? Monthly price keeps going up but useful features not so much.
Hey there, @mowertech1.
Thanks for making a follow-up on this concern. We haven't had any update yet about this functionality. At the moment, we're unable to provide a turnaround time as to when will the inventory management be available on the app version.
I assure you that this is already noted by our engineers. I'm also encouraging you to send your suggestion by going to the gear icon and selecting Feedback.

If you only need to manage up to 50 orders/month, or 50 shipping labels/month, or 50 Aftership tracking/month, 1 warehouse; for 2 users, you may utilize the starter plan of a 3rd party inventory management app for free and integrate it with your QB Online.
