Let me help you fix this error. Before we start, may I know your bank's name? This way, we can further check the status of your bank's connection.
Error 185 means your bank or the financial institution (FI) requires additional security questions after entering your credentials. Once our system recognizes your bank's security protocol, it will automatically share its transactions to QuickBooks.
To get this resolved, you'll want to enter your answer once you're asked for a security question. Then, enter your OTP code if your bank asks for it. You can read this article for more details: Fix banking error 185.
On the other hand, you can log in to your online banking website to check if the seven (7) months missing transactions are there. When you're new to QuickBooks Online, your bank may only allow getting 90 days past transactions. Here's how to manually upload them to the system.
You might want to learn more about when to pair and add your bank transactions. Here's an article you can read for more guidance: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.
