NEW BUG: Can’t record a sales tax payment because of a new bug date selection tool bug. Error mssg: Invalid format: “Invalid date” (code: “PLT-2000”). iPad/iPhone Safari

Thank you but I don’t need a thorough investigation.  I need any QB employee to pick up an iPad or iPhone and use the Safari browser to try and make a state sales tax payment.  They will all see the date error and hopefully be able to get it resolved asap.  It’s not up to me to spend hours on this universal flaw in programming.

NEW BUG: Can’t record a sales tax payment because of a new bug date selection tool bug. Error mssg: Invalid format: “Invalid date” (code: “PLT-2000”). iPad/iPhone Safari

The error message indicates that the system is unable to recognize or process a date correctly, showcase1. I'll share details that can resolve this so you can record the tax payment.

It stems from formatting errors or from using dates that are outside the acceptable range. Aside from that, other browser-related problems can also trigger this error.

Let me provide these steps to assist you in successfully recording the tax payment:

  1. Clear cache from Safari.
  2. Update to the latest version of Safari.
  3. Add Intuit as a trusted site.
  4. Temporarily log out, then log back into your account.
  5. Manually type in the date, then double-check that the format matches with your QBO settings.
  6. Use the calendar picker to select dates.

Alternatively, you can switch to other browsers temporarily when recording the payment. QBO works well with these browsers if you have them installed on your mobile device:

  • Google Chrome: version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer.
  • Opera: version 68 or newer

Feel free to check out or save these articles for further guidance and reference when using QBO to track sales taxes:

These articles provide additional information and step-by-step instructions for effectively tracking and managing sales taxes in QBO.

Please let me know if you encounter any other challenges or have additional questions about the sales tax feature in QBO. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we're here to ensure your QuickBooks experience is as smooth as possible. Have a wonderful day and best of luck with your bookkeeping!

NEW BUG: Can’t record a sales tax payment because of a new bug date selection tool bug. Error mssg: Invalid format: “Invalid date” (code: “PLT-2000”). iPad/iPhone Safari

The QB app doesn’t even contain a sales tax section.

Can someone simply ask the programmers to pick up an iPad or iPhone in Safari and try to make a sales tax payment.  They will see the fault code.  This “Date Format” bug just started months ago and only happens  when making a sales tax payment.  Please fix this as the end of the year is approaching fast.
