Buy nowYour directions of how to check the Rates settings doesn't work at all. It left me out in no man's land with nowhere to go. Here is a list of issues I see with the new Shipping Manager.
1) Doesn't allow customer OR third party billing of the shipping charges.
2) The screens have to much "white" space and everything is spaced too far apart.
3) It should allow just the air bill # to be copied the invoice under a name item name. Example is; Shipping info: Your package tracking # is: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
4) The package size has to be filled in. UPS and FedEx use auto scanners to record this info. The sales person doesn't know what sized box the shipping department is going to be using until it been packaged. Allow unknown box sizes to be left blank, We ship heavy items so many times we have to use a larger box than the item would normally require for it's size so we are mostly paying for oversized packages compared to the weight requirements.
5) Why can't we ship from PO's? We do so much volume we want to use our shipping account #'s as we are getting a better rate than 99% of the companies we do business with. Please add Send/Ship to the PO side of QB. We get around it by having 30 to 40 "fake" invoices that we use to making the shipping air bills and re-writing over those invoices on each PO shipment.
6) When making a shipment from an invoice DON'T bring me to the Shipping Dashboard. Bring me directly to the "Purchase shipping label" that I've already picked such as UPS. The select services should list all the UPS choices, not every carrier selections. I've use the USPS 3 of 4 times in all my years in business. You don't even have them list alphabetically. They should be listed differently. I have multiple ideas how you can do this to be easiest for the user to use if needed. You don't even list the Service by the speed at which they would be delivered. You have UPS 2nd Air AM first, with next day air in the middle and ground trailing the pack. How confusing is this, very.
7) There is no option to add information for a customer's PO #, P/N, or other info as required.
When changing the Service type, the
9) For Add-Ons, why does everything need to be in separate open up the windows to change their value. Why can't it all be displayed at once. Why do I have to pick on Delivery Confirmation for a window that opens up for me to pick a delivery option drop down list to pick one of three choices? Do you people ever get any work down having to make this so difficult to use?
10) Have you gone to the help icon in the ShipEngine screen. Worthless in my opinion.
11) It would be nice to block deliveries on weekends.
12) Why do I have to open up 4 separate drop down windows to verify/change me Account settings?
The good:
1) What I like is the verified address so that I know it's correct before it ships. LOVE IT! What the customer gives us for an address is many times not what the USPS has for their address which is the de-facto authority as to what the correct address is. UPS and FedEx us that same database.
2) The Ship Manager screen can be moved outside of QB's main program window. Nicely done.
3) The Calculate the shipping rates is super nice when talking on the phone to a customer. It could be refined as to allow that info be sent out to our customer by email. Also there should be a way to block certain types of shipments as we'd never ship without a tracking #.
I've been a QB beta tester for Intuit for many years, so this is no willy/nilly crack pot rant.

What a joke contact Intuit's help through the software was. I would give him a 1 out of 10 for the help he gave. He must have been have multiple conversations and the delays were soooo long between messages it was unbearable. Thirty eight minutes to ask a few questions. NO help for answers.
