I appreciate you taking the time to rectify the issue you encountered when entering your expense transactions, @actionglass. I know how this error can disrupt your business tasks. Let me point you to the most effective help.

Before anything else, since clearing your cache hasn't resolved the issue, I suggest accessing your account using a different supported browser.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support for additional assistance. They have the tools to investigate your situation further.

You can contact their customer service for a conference call by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online, then click the Help (?) icon.
  2. Choose either tab to get started: Assistant or Talk to human.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Click Start a chat with a support expert or Get a callback from next available expert.

Once everything is settled, you may want to run a report in QuickBooks Online to get a quick overview and track your business performance.

Whenever other issues pop up or you have questions about system errors, feel free to circle back. I'm just a post away and here to help.

And if I don't want to use another supported browser because of the volume of work using established bookmarks and stored sign on with vendors and customers?

Again, why after years of not having this issue are the customer expected to compensate for issues instead of having them addressed so the customer can continue to utilize the program as it was intended?

This is not an acceptable fix.

My perception is that QuickBooks Online has rotted at the core and Intuit doesn't know how to fix it.

It's ancient tech and it keeps getting older and older.
