Print later option and send later option and invoicing

Hello there.

We understand that delaying the printing and sending of invoices can help streamline your workflow. However, the Send Later and Print Later options are currently unavailable in the new invoice layout of QuickBooks Online (QBO). For reference, you can visit this article: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

To help improve your experience with QBO, your valuable feedback goes directly to our product development team for review and consideration.

Here's how to send it:

1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.

2. Enter your comments or suggestions.

3. Click Next to submit.

In case you need to email or print your sales forms in batches, you can check out this article for more guidance: Email or print multiple sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other concerns apart from printing and sending invoices later, please let us know. We're always here to help.

Print later option and send later option and invoicing

print and send later were integral in the way we run our business.

is there any chance these features are coming back.   I can still sort all sales by print and send later.  just cannot create any new invoices with printer or send later.

Does the desktop version still have these features?

Print later option and send later option and invoicing

Hey there, @owenmax

I appreciate you joining in on this thread.

The best way to get the feature back within QuickBooks Online is submitting feedback to our Product Developers.

As for the feature in QuickBooks Desktop, It is still available.

Review this guide for some additional details: Batch print forms in QBDT

I'll be waiting for your response!

What does the removal of this feature mean in regards to invoices generated from a recurring transaction?

I have literally 100s of recurring transactions memorized with an email address that I do NOT allow to be sent immediately upon creation.    I use the Delivery Method "Send Later" (or Print Later) dropdown under 'All Sales' for that.

And now that I've forced to use this new layout - when I go to run my statements will any new invoices I created under it be found when I do the delivery method sort under all sales???

I want to start by thanking you for joining us today and for expressing your concerns regarding the Send Later and Print Later optons in your invoices, KJatWork.

I understand how important these features are for you and I assure you that we take your everyone's feedback about the new invoice layout seriously.

I'd like to let you know that the Print later and Send later settings for recurring transactions are already available in the new invoice layout. This means that there will be no changes to the delivery of the automated transactions, ensuring a consistent experience with your customers.

To make things even easier, I would like to share the steps to ensure that all newly created or recurring invoices are set for print and send later.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the + New button and select Invoice.
  2. Click Manage in the upper-right-hand corner.
  3. Look for Scheduling and click on it.
  4. Turn on Print later by sliding it to the right.
  5. If you want to make it recurring, go to Make invoice recurring and slide the status bar to the right.
  6. Make sure the Automatically send emails are turned off.
  7. Click Save template.
