Printing checks

We pay most of our vendors with checks, with bills paid weekly.  We went from Quickbooks Pro 2020 to Quickbooks Online, and are having problems printing checks. I contacted support, and there was no answer to my question.  How do I print a batch of standard checks (no voucher) with the 1st

I understand that the service I provided may not meet your expectations for phone support. I appreciate your feedback, and we will take note of it to ensure that such issues do not occur again in the future. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will strive to improve our services accordingly, @schmidtfh. Let me show the way to get you back into your daily  task.

I can show you how to print the standard checks in batch action within  QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

1. Go to the + New icon.

2. Tap the Print Checks tab.

3. Once the screen appears, choose an account.

4. Next, click the check you want to print by putting a checkmark on the Checkbox.

5. Navigate to the ribbon below and click the Print Setup.

6. Change the check preference to Standard Check, then tap the Yes, I'm Finish with setup.

7. For the final touch, press the Preview and Print button.

However, we can refer to your IT specialist to guide you on printer set-up or look for a third-party application that can integrate and manage printer settings within QuickBooks Online.

Refer to these steps below:

  1. On the left pane, choose the Apps tab.
  2. Click the Find Apps.
  3. Enter the keyword or name in the Search bar.
  4. Once done, similar apps will appear on the screen.

I will continue to work diligently to meet your expectations and do my best to keep up the good work. Have a great day.

Printing checks

This does not solve the problem.  I am not able to configure the print commands to accept 1 single standard check that must be printed with the short end into the printer first.

Printing checks

Hi there, @schmidtfh.

I understand how beneficial it is to you and your company to be able to configure and print checks. However, the ability to configure one standard check that must be printed with the short end first in the printer is not yet available in QuickBooks Online. I recommend contacting your IT to adjust your printer settings and be able to put the check at the short end on the printer first.

This is one of many problems we have with the Online version of Quickbooks.  The biggest is not being able to completely customize invoices, like we were able to do in Desktop.  If Online is the way Intuit wants Quickbook users to go, please make it so it works like Desktop.  As a very small business, we do not have an IT department, I am it.
