QB app updated last night and now I can no longer search for item descriptions to add to invoices.

I can search for the items by the description in my Products & Services list but not when I am creating an invoice or estimate.

I can certainly understand how an ability to search by item descriptions when creating invoices or estimates could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

 

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in to QuickBooks with a web browser.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in with a browsing app.
  2. Use the Gear icon, then go to Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
  4. If necessary, attach a file with your Camera icon.
  5. Select Next.

 

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

 

For the time being, you can search for items by their descriptions from your Products & Services list while using the QuickBooks Mobile app.

Another generic answer that doesn't even address the issue. This is not a feature "request", this is stop messing with things that have worked before you made a change. Your development team make it very difficult to keep using your product. 

"For the time being, you can search for items by their descriptions from your Products & Services list while using the QuickBooks Mobile app." 

The mobile app is the problem since it updated last night. I need to be able to add items to my invoices in the app by searching the item description like I was able to yesterday, before your update.

Our customer care team has the tools and skills that can best handle this situation. At the same time, they have a safe environment to pull up your account and find the root cause of this issue.

 

To contact them, here's how:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.
  2. Click Menu ☰.
  3. From your upper right corner, click the question mark button.
  4. Select Articles and support, and tap the Contact Us button.

 

Plus, Essential, and Simple Start users can reach out to us Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and on Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT. Advanced subscribers can contact us anytime, any day.
