Which QB Desktop year version and Windows OS do you run?

Try running the Verify/Rebuild Data utility. Did you encounter any error message?

QB Desktop Error while saving transaction changes

I understand the significance of being able to view your transactions, fgasim.

I can help you with resolving the unrecoverable error that you're experiencing when trying to save changes in transaction/ add invoice.

First, ensure that you have all the critical updates needed by the program by updating QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Make sure to create a back up copy before doing any troubleshooting on the account.

To fix the error, open QuickBooks with all windows closed. Follow these steps:

1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.

2. In the "No Company Open" window, select your company file.

3. Press and hold "ALT" key on your keyboard.

4. While holding the "ALT" key, select "Open". Do not release the ALT key until the file opens.

5. If QuickBooks asked you to sign in, release the "ALT" key and enter your password.

6. Press and hold the "ALT" key again and select "OK"

You can also try using a different QuickBooks user.

Here's how:

1. Open QuickBooks and go to the "Company" menu.

2. Select "Set Up Users and Passwords" and then choose "Set Up Users".

3. For Enterprise users, go to the Company menu, then select "Users" and then choose "Set Up Users and Roles".

4. Click on "Add User..." and enter a new username and password. Note: Do not use the damaged username.

5. Customize the user as necessary and then click on "Finish".

6. Next, go to the "File" menu and select "Close Company/Logoff".

7. Finally, sign in to the company file using the new login credentials.
