QB Enterprise 2024 on Server 2019 Unsupported OS detected!

Windows Server 2019 shares the same architecture as well.

Windows Server 2019: Version 10.0.17xxx+

Patience is key when waiting for updates. It could take days, weeks, or even months.

QB Enterprise 2024 on Server 2019 Unsupported OS detected!

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and for reaching out to our phone support team regarding the error message you encountered with QuickBooks Desktop 2024 installed on Windows Server 2019, Mecky.

Windows Server 2019 is a compatible operating system for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2024. However, the error message “Unsupported OS detected" may arise due to the fact that Windows Server 2019 shares an architecture similar to Windows 10.

This similarity might lead QuickBooks Enterprise 2024 to mistakenly identify components of your server environment as running Windows 10, despite Windows Server 2019 being a distinct operating system.

Also, please know that QuickBooks relies on the Windows operating system’s registry and specific configuration files to recognize the OS version. Therefore, we recommend collaborating with your IT team to evaluate your current setup. They can help identify any underlying factors, determine if any workstations running Windows 10 may be contributing to the issue, and assist you in deciding whether an upgrade may be necessary in the future.

For more information on verifying your operating system, please refer to this helpful article: System Requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2024.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask in the comments section.

QB Enterprise 2024 on Server 2019 Unsupported OS detected!

This is a very contradicting answer, how come you are saying that " This similarity might lead QuickBooks Enterprise 2024 to mistakenly identify components of your server environment as running Windows 10, despite Windows Server 2019 being a distinct operating system."

Then you say "Therefore, we recommend collaborating with your IT team to evaluate your current setup. They can help identify any underlying factors, determine if any workstations running Windows 10 may be contributing to the issue, and assist you in deciding whether an upgrade may be necessary in the future."

This is a Windows Server 2019 installation!! This issue needs to be fixed by your team, not us! Failure to query proper OS identifiers is your software development teams' issue to fix!

QB Enterprise 2024 on Server 2019 Unsupported OS detected!

This seems like a simple fix that Intuit needs to implement with an update. We have several customers that run QB Desktop on a RDS server running Windows Server 2019 and Server 2022. Yes, those OSs have architecture based on Windows 10, but their version #s are still different. Seems like it would be simple for Intuit to correctly detect supported OSs based on their specific version # to prevent these annoying pop-ups every time a use launches QB.
