Previously, we had QB installed on server (server 2019) and two clients (Windows 10) connecting. It was installed as server only installation. This was working great until two weeks ago.
Office manager came in one morning and QB would not open the company file, doughnut of death and QB not responding in task manager. A call to support Indicated we need to re-install QB on the server as server client installation. This we did and all was well until the next morning. QB failed to open again, exact same symptoms. Again re-install of QB fixed the problem.
Two days later, same symptoms except a re-install failed to fix the problem. A call to QB support informed me that I have installed QB incorrectly and I need to place the company file inside \users\public\documents\intuit\quickbooks\company files and share that folder. OK, that I did however, QB would not work on the server. Have not been able to troubleshoot.
Because of this I installed QB pro 2021 onto one of the workstations as server and client installation and shared out the public folder. This works for one day at a time. Computers are restarted at 04:00 everyday (company policy) and everyday I have to repair the installation via appwiz.cpl.
Repairing deals with the present problem but I need to fix this permanently.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
It's been awhile. Did you ever get it fixed?
Had to stop rebooting the machine. After MS updates I HAVE to restart and then restore from backup. Tech support are stupid and have no idea.
