QB Pro client may switch to QB Online. Wants to know if they can specify customers who pay by Direct Debit and download a payment reports in CSV format?

Sorry I can not answer your question, but you might check this to see if the functions you rely on in pro are even in QBO

Hi @accounts344 , you could follow the steps through the link : Use direct debit  or Direct debit (manual or use 3rd party app) then when you run report, select the payment filter. For csv export you could use https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo . Comment back, cheers.

To set up or specify a customer for direct debit, you'll want to contact our QuickBooks Payments Support so they can assess your customer's account.

When your client is ready to switch, they can have this article to guide them through the whole process of moving QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

Regarding on downloading payment reports, you have the option to export it to excel or PDF but not on a CVS format. You'll want to use a third party application to help you convert the file. Just visit the QuickBooks App Center through this link https://apps.intuit.com/.

To open the payment report, you can run the Transaction List by Customer and filter the Transaction Type to show Payment. I'll show you how to do it below:

1. Go to the Reports menu and type in Transaction List by Customer on the search field.
2. From the report, click the Customize button.
   
3. Under Filter, check the box for Transaction Type. Then, select Payment from its drop-down.
4. Click Run Report.
   
5. Once done, you can export the report by clicking the Export icon and choose either Export to Excel or Export to PDF.
