QBDT Mobile App Receipt History Not Working

When submitting receipts through QBDT Mobile App, some of my guys are having trouble getting the receipts to save to their upload history. Some recently stopped saving in the past couple months and some newer users history has never saved any of the receipts they submitted. I received the receipts in receipt management, but sometimes there is a question and they need to look at their app history to see the receipt they submitted to answer the question, but it's not working for them.

QBDT Mobile App Receipt History Not Working

Viewing the uploaded receipt history is crucial to ensure the correct copy is uploaded and the details can be reviewed by your users, Sara. I'll share the possible causes of the issue and the troubleshooting steps to rectify this.

First, let's ensure the correct access is given to your users. Depending on what you want your users to do, you can either Give Desktop and Mobile access or Give only mobile access.

If the accurate access is selected, there are several causes why these issues occur on some of your users' end, and I've listed them below.

  • The Operating System (OS) version isn't compatible with the program.
  • The mobile app stores too much cached data.
  • There's a problem during the update or installation.

I've got the steps to rectify the error message. I'll provide them below.

First, make sure their phone's OS is supported. It can be the cause of why the issue.

Then, I recommend asking them to clear the app's cache. It retains data, which can cause an unusual response to the system. I'll show you how:

Android:

  1. From the device's Settings, select Apps (varies by device).
  2. Choose the QuickBooks Desktop mobile app from the list.
  3. Select Storage
  4. Tap Clear cache.

iOS:

  1. From the device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage.
  2. Choose the QuickBooks Desktop mobile app
  3. Clear the cache to free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app.

If the issue persists, I suggest uninstalling the software. Then, reinstall it to refresh the system and ensure the app is on the latest version.

Aside from that, it's also necessary that your users are connected to a strong and secure internet connection. It improves the program's performance and avoids issues.
