QBO Dashboard

My Dashboard no longer has "Get Things Done" as an option. Why and how do I get it back?

My other company is fine.

I understand the significance of utilizing the Get things done option in QuickBooks Online (QBO), snirp. I'm here to share insights about this.

As part of our global design commitment for FY24, the Get Things Done (GTD) page has been recently updated for all customers worldwide across all product variations, excluding Advanced. Instead of the traditional "Workflow map," you will encounter several new widgets when accessing the GTD page.

  • Quick Actions: Introducing a fresh feature enabling customers to generate invoices, and estimates, add customers, and more directly from the GTD page.
  • To-do list: Automatically generated tasks guiding customers to classify transactions, review receipts, send reminders for outstanding invoices, and more.
  • Bank Accounts Widget: Customers can now conveniently check their bank balances within the GTD page.
  • Tips Cards: customers will see tip cards that prompt them to sign up for QB Payments or download the QBM app.
  • Explore QuickBooks Products Section: A dedicated area for customers to explore the range of additional ecosystem services provided by QuickBooks.

I can see how this functionality would be beneficial to your business. I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. This review suggestions they receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

Thank you for the detailed reply.

We are using Quickbooks Online Advanced. For one company, the Get Things Done is fine. For the other, it is not.

How do I fix it so it is available in both companies?

Thanks for returning to this thread, snirp. Let me give you an insight about the Get Things Done (GTD) menu in QuickBooks.

As mentioned by my colleague above, the new widget you're seeing is part of the new layout for FY24 when accessing the GTD page.

Please know that there's a possibility that some accounts are not yet affected by the new update but will soon apply to all users.

For existing accounts, the new layout is implemented in batches. Meanwhile, updated widgets are the default experience on the GTD page for newly created accounts.
