QBO not opening pages

Is anybody else having issues getting QBO to come up? I get signed in and the page is blank. I have to close the QBO tab, reopen it, refresh the page to get anything to come up. Then when I try to open a company file or go to any other section I go through the same thing. It has been doing this for several days

The kind of QuickBooks behavior about having a blank page after trying to open QuickBooks Online (QBO) can be fixed by some basic troubleshooting steps. 

 

Let's try using a private browser or incognito window as an initial step to fixing this issue. This will eliminate any browser history that may cause a glitch inside QuickBooks. You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it works, close out the private window and clear the cache on the regular browser. This will remove previously stored browsing data that might have caused the issue. Otherwise, you can try other supported browsers to help narrow down the cause of this behavior.

I did that yesterday and it seemed to work fine for awhile. Then this morning it was doing it again. I DID NOT clear my cache again today and right now it is temporarily working properly. When it is happening, I am not having issues with other websites, so I don't really think its an internet/network issue.

Three possible scenarios may be causing the issue, why you get blank page after signing in into QuickBooks, please check the following:

 

Your company name has special characters that are not allowed.

 

If you have a character in the company name that is not allowed, QuickBooks Online will start giving you some problems with page loading and errors.

See What characters are acceptable in company names in QuickBooks Online? for a list of characters that are acceptable in your company name.

 

There are two or more adjacent dollar signs ($$, $$$, etc.) in any list or transaction data that would appear on the page that's not fully loading. 

 

If you enter "College $$" for instance in the check window’s memo field, the register page will not load completely.

 

You are trying to access QuickBooks Online with more than one browser tab simultaneously.

 

You may see blank pages if you signed in to the application separately in the additional tabs. Here's the correct way to work in more than one tab:

 

  • While signed in to QuickBooks Online in one tab, go to the browser address bar, highlight then copy the entire web address.
  • Open a new browser tab.
  • Paste the web address into the new tab then press Enter. The home page of your company will now load in the new tab.
