QBO Products and Services adding notes to individual products

I'm here to share some alternative methods for adding notes to your items. You can use the Purchasing information field or a third-party application. Let me walk you through the steps to complete these tasks.

To add the notes, enter the information one at a time for each item. Here's how:

1. In your company, head to the Sales menu on the left panel and choose Products and services.
2. This will take you to the lists of all items and services recorded in the company.
3. Choose the item you're working on and click the Edit link under the Action column.
4. In the Product/Service information screen, go to the Purchasing information section and enter the notes from there.
5. Click Save and close or Save and new.

For the other option, let's go to the QuickBooks Apps Center and look for an application that allows you to enter notes for your products. Enter a keyword in the search bar to expedite the process. Go through each program on the list and check out the user reviews for a more accurate comparison.

I appreciate your effort in helping me with this situation.  But, your solution does not work for my needs.  The information that I put in that space is what goes on the purchase orders to my vendors.  I need a place that I can store purchasing information about different vendors for the same product.  For instance, item #1 can be purchased from Vendor A for a certain price and Vendor B for a different price.  Putting that information in the Purchase information of the item would not work.

This is a great functionality, jimblairBCD1.

As of now, we're unable to assign different prices for the same product in QuickBooks Online. I'd recommend sending feedback directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve the features of the program.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
3. Once done, click on Next.
