Been there and done that several times. I have had tech support, i have the latest version of the QB Tool Hub, my computer is windows 10 up to date. I've downloaded all the updates available for QB. I have disabled the start up to home page. It's an on going problem and when i run all the components of the tool hub, it seems to run smoothly for a few days and then the same problems pop up. It's very frustrating.
@RCV Are you an actual person or just an AI robot? I'm leaning towards the latter since you all just keep repeating the same useless instructions.
Respectfully, this is not helpful at all. YOUR program has the problem - YOU need to send out an update that fixes it. I cannot justify spending non-billable time trying one "fix" after another generated by your support team. This is totally unacceptable!
To all those that are suffering the same as I...random crashing from this POS software package. Somewhere along the way I read that disabling the "Show Home page when opening a company file" was a fix. So, I unchecked that feature, and I also selected "Don't save the desktop" (edit/preferences/desktop view). Since doing these 2 things, it hasn't crashed...and yes my *&%^ fingers are crossed 😂. Apparently this has something to do with the home page...as useless as that is anyway.
Tried that too - didn't work. Still crashing intermittently.

What revision are you on?
^1 or F2 and you will see R5 or greater. I believe we are on R5_101
what you have to do is call and get a case and if they don't help you let me know the case.
I figured out what i think is going on with the update and was working with engineers and can forward your case # to them..
I have been using Intuit since 1988.

Hello, blloydcpa and Marilyn2400.
I know this wasn't easy for you, especially since you had already taken the steps to resolve the cashing issue.
I verified that the steps you took were correct. It should resolve the crashing issue you were having. I encourage you to contact our Support Team so that we can look into the issue further. You can use this link to reach them: Chat with us.
You can also contact them using the phone number listed in this article: QuickBooks Point of Sale.
More information on resolving unexpected errors when opening or logging into POS can be found in the following resources listed below:
Furthermore, I recommend reviewing the topics from our help articles for additional information in the future when working with QuickBooks POS.
If there's anything else you need, leave a comment below. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Have a lovely day!
Again, this is NOT my problem - it is YOURS. I've spent way too much time on this issue and the results are the same - the definition of crazy. I'm VERY disappointed in Intuit at this point as is my employer and co-workers who are all having the same issues.
@Giovann_G RE: I verified that the steps you took were correct. It should resolve the crashing issue you were having.
First, it'd be good to proof text your post. It's they, not it. Step -> It. Steps -> They.
And, no, they won't. QuickBooks is crashing because Intuit introduced one or more errors in the latest releases. There is nothing we can do to make the crashes go away. Intuit has to fix QuickBooks.
Almost every time I open a file with QuickBooks 2022 R5, one or more IPF are generated in some windows core file, which often makes Firefox hang. I then have to kill Firefox and restart it. Then when I open the next client file the same thing happens.
It's not the computer. It happens on every computer.
It's not the company file. It happens with every company file.
It's not a failed QuickBooks installation. It happens on every computer.
It's a buggy release. Intuit employees need to STOP positing the same nonsense things to try for this issue. We don't need another one of those posts, only to have another poster say they don't work. And they don't. Just admit QuickBooks has a terrible bug and the engineers either 1) don't know how to fix it or 2) just haven't yet and will get to it someday when they feel an urge.
Hey, it's only been a few months. Let's not rush them. They probably have a lot of meetings to go to or something like that.

QBD 2023 is their moment of truth next month. Is there a glimpse to fix this problem or get rid of the QB Desktop product earlier than we expected.
Not to worry, I am now getting ADs for ordering Checks & Supplies when I open up QuickBooks. I am glad they fixed that problem of me getting ADs. The Program doesn't work but I get ADs. Me likey.
^ R5_101. I've also been using QB for over 20 years, never had this issue.
So here we are Tuesday a.m. and i go to print my payroll checks. Right out of the box, when i click on Print, the program shuts down. When I reopen QB i try to report the bug Help>Send Feedback Online> Bug Report, it opens with a script error (see attached file). If i click on Yes, nothing happens. Just have to close it out. So very frustrating. I am going to keep posting here EVERY TIME IT SHUTS DOWN. So be prepared ppl, not to annoy you but to get some feedback from the admin of QB.
Hello,
Can you explain how you added *intuit.com to Edge and Chrome please? i am having an issue where my Brave browser crashes every time I open Quickbooks 2022. (I disabled the home page already)
Thanks
One of the tech support advisors told me QB only works with Microsoft IE. So i had to change my default browser to MS. (I prefer chrome) This still didn't work.
Hi there,

With this, I'll ensure to share details so you print your paycheck without any issue. Also, I'll be providing steps to make sure you can add intuit.com as a trusted site on Edge or Chrome and open the QuickBooks program smoothly, tamtamzee.

12:35pm trying to print checks and program shuts down again.
12:50pm trying to print checks again - program shut down. I ran the QB tool hub for the Print & Pdf repair tool once again. Seems like it run it at least once or twice per day.
Thanks for following up with the Community, netofpa. I appreciate you performing my colleague's recommended troubleshooting steps.
I've reviewed our ongoing investigation about this and can confirm it's being researched by Intuit's Product Investigations team. To receive email notifications about our investigation, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team and referencing its case number (INV-74349). This will also help Intuit to collect the data necessary to conduct further research into what's causing QuickBooks to crash.

2:05pm trying to print a check and program closed again when i clicked on "print". Had to restart program again.
I appreciate your concern but I don't have 2-3 hours to spend on the telephone with your people. I have already done that several times and lost hours of work trying to rectify YOUR program. Each time, i ended with the same problem nothing was fixed. I can't do this.
Okay, so I am not the only one having this continual issue. It is costing me money and patience. My QuickBooks Desktop is continually crashing since I was forced to upgrade from QBD 2019 to QBD 2020 and above. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the software. I have run the QuickBooks Hub tool, so what else have you got to correct this issue? I'm running out of excuses to give my clients for why their books aren't ready.

As a short term solution, put your QB program and company files on a hosting provider for the time being. You will monitor this issue until Intuit releases QBD 2023 next month.
Is it a Festivus Miracle? I was able to open 16 different companies this morning and cut checks in each one and was able to finish in 30 Minutes with out any crashes to QuickBooks or any other programs. Usually as I am opening a company file, I have time to check e-mail, update a spreadsheet but not today, it ran extremely fast and efficient. So did a Festivus Miracle happen overnight?
