I am facing the same issues. Please help
Seriously - this is still not fixed? Someone tell me that I am mistaken. The crashing problem has NOT been fixed yet??? I don't want to hear about any voodoo fixes. There is NOT an actual official fix yet.
Most of us seem have given up on it getting fixed. From the looks of things, they either want everyone to move to the online version or to purchase the 2023 version. Have not really heard that they actually have the 2023 version working any better than what they did to the 2020, 2021, and 2022 versions.

If you have the active subscription for QB Desktop Plus, you should install your QBD 2023 and compare them
We had this problem on 2 separate work stations out of 4. We did an update with the help Intuit over the phone. It has been 2 weeks now and no more crashing. Call the help desk, give them the case number (INV-74349).

2023 accountant version also started to crash repeatedly after installing the latest update. i didnt have a problem with the 2022 version or the 2023 version before. 2023 is installed on a brand new computer. it will crash when paying bills, something i do a lot of. QB help is no help. they should give us a rebate for the time lost.
Thanks for letting me know. Glad i didn't install it..still having crashes with 2022, but not as frequent as before.
I received the notification that my QB 2022 new software was available and to install it. Which i did yesterday afternoon. Today i was trying to email paystubs for direct deposit employees and as i clicked on Send the program shut down once again. Apparently nothing was fixed that I can see. The program is still shutting down randomly.
work for an MSP - have a customer on Accountant version. latest update to R3 in 2023 has them crashing left and right. QB support is no help at all. Just blames systems, Microsoft...basically anyone else. Sure - it's the system or MS when it happens to every user, in every company file, across 3 different operating systems (windows 10, windows 11, and server 2019). i won't be shocked if it costs us a customer.
i work for an MSP. we upgraded one of our customers to 2023 in september. everything was working fine until the last few weeks. they got an update to the latest version of r3. crashes have started since. i've got countless hours into trying to track down what is going on. have done every kind of troubleshooting you can imagine. QB support isn't much help. they blame the systems, they blame Microsoft. sure - the crashes happen on every workstation, in every company file for no particular reason across 3 different operating systems (windows 10, windows 11, server 2019) and it's a systems issue?
this will probably cost me a customer because try as i might - i just can't seem to fix this issue. probably because it's not something i can fix.
I spoke with a tech yesterday, 12/14/22. I don't think he knows about all of the information here or he does and wants to take advantage of my tiny company. The similar thing has been happening to me for about 3 weeks. I thought it was caused from a power outage the area had but I now see that it doesn't. I'm glad I came across this information. They want to spend a minimum of 6 hours at a cost of $1015.00. I am a single person bookkeeping business. I was stunned and amazed when he told me. He said he'd call me back in 2 hours but I did not hear back from him, which is just fine. Here's the low down...Quickbooks Pro 2021. I have been using this version since June 2021.
1. I tried to send a report to excel and received the out of memory error
2.I tried to email an invoice for a client and I received the ugly error notice.
3.Googled everything on the fix, lol!
4.Did everything it said to do
5.Contacted QuickBooks support
I also contacted QBox as I use them for 2 of my clients. They were so helpful but unable to fix the problem
And here we are, still no fix for any us! and there is a lot. This is page 26 I joined today.

Did you call certain numbers to get support?
you must be well aware by now that this is a phony support site. if they got onto your computer, they planted a file or two that will stop your quickbooks from humming along.
there is help for this, call intuit customer care.
Yes, I called [removed] and spoke with Oliver. It is a QuickBooks support line if you look it up. I am calling him back this morning to see if he really thinks he can fix my QuickBooks. He said that even upgrading to a newer version will not fix it, my company files corrupted and will transfer that to a new version. I saw that my company file drops with my internet connection. We ran a test yesterday, watched how it was connected then it dropped the connection. That was not the QB tech, that was a QBox tech. I'm still not sure how to fix it and am looking at different accounting software to purchase. I have been using QB's since it was DOS (1994) possibly earlier. Only had other issues, can't enter new customers or area codes, it only gave you room for 5 customers and the new area didn't exist so it would take them. Fun stuff like that, lol! If I did get a bug in my QB's then everyone else on this site got it too...highly unlikely.
Yes, [removed] and spoke with Oliver. He said my company files were corrupted and it would take a minimum of 6 hours to fix for $1,015.00. As I see it, it isn't fixable at this time. I asked if I should just by a newer version and said that the corrupted files would transfer to the newer version, yippee!
I don't know what I did, but it stopped crashing!!
Hey there, @Pansyprofit.
Thanks for giving us some additional information about who you got in touch with.
To clarify, did you use the steps listed in this guide to get in contact with our support team?
QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support
Care plans should be $800 or less. Review this article for more details: Care Plans for QBDT. If you spoke with a fake support team, you can report it here: https://security.intuit.com/contact-us.
Please come back and let us know if you spoke with our support team or a fake one. I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. Take care!
Yes I spoke with your support team, I posted the phone number I called. I'm not going to do anything further today. I will on Monday. I am not sure why you are asking these questions when I have posted everything I did. $800 is a lot of money to spend for yearly support. If the product was stable you shouldn't have to get support. I haven't had to in the past 25+ years but it is becoming apparent that is going to be recommended from here on. Thank goodness I'm closed to retirement.
I just heard about a man that stole millions of investors money and used QuickBooks accounting software to do it, lovely to hear about this stuff...
I posted the phone number I called
Please retype the phone number in a unique way. Otherwise, this community platform will remove it by default. We can help ensure that the Support person you contact was a legitimate person.
I'm not sure of a unique way to type a number? but here goes, 855*951*1211x92034
When I originally looked this number up, before calling them, it showed as a phone number to QuickBooks support. Now I look it up and there isn't anything other than other numbers that begin with 951, and show the area code as that too. It could have been a fraud a call, I do not know. He did give me a case number and said that if he wasn't available that I could give the case number to anyone and they can help me by looking it up. That's why I don't believe it was a fraud call. I called the number back around 6am PST and someone transferred me to Oliver, the person that was originally helping me. Anything is possible these days, UGH!
I am going to call QB support this morning and see if they can look up my case #. If they can't then we know it was a scam...
Amazingly I am online to get a fix to this problem and every time i try to use the info a window pops up that there is not internet connected. Stopped working out of the blue and nothing lets me connect to QB at all. Can't open to save my life.
I wish you didn't need to jump through all of those hoops in order to access QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @raf77. Let me make this up for you.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see various details on how you can fix general problems when your company file won't open: What to do if you can't open your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Quickbooks 2022 crashes 10 or more times a day. It could happen if I am doing a change in payroll, or emailing paystubs, adding sick hours to employee profile, entering in a new client, there is not rhyme or reason why this happens. I am so sick of this. Fix this.
