Any repair ? we also have QB V18 and never used Credit/Debit cards.
Any idea on how to solve this issue ?
Hi, thanks for trying... This is a #2 computer (doesn't hold the data), my data is not corrupt. We are still running it on 3 other computers in the office.
-I have done all your troubleshooting found online; -- did not fix it.
-I have sent feedback; -- with no response... going on 6-7 weeks+)
-I have done live chats -- that have ended with the answer that I must upgrade because "Intuit is a business" (Yellow Highlighter)
(Blue Highlighter): Almost 7weeks to the day and still no one ever called.
** "Intuit is a business" so they turn off BASIC BUILT IN features to force you to upgrade has really got my blood to boil. Wrong answer.
I like QuickBooks Accounting.
I'm now (forced) shopping for another POS system and refuse to buy QuickBooks POS.... what is everyone switching too?
RESOLUTION ---- The LATEST Release removed the functionality.. so you need reinstall without the latest release update. We use 18 and r14 removed functionality so we downgraded to R8 and reversal functionality comes back.
I found a work-around that worked for a single transaction. I don't know if this will always work and frankly I'm a little worried that posting it here will encourage Intuit to remove the capability if it is in fact a true work-around.
I tried reversing a receipt from the Sales History window and got the error. I later tried reversing it again, except for this time, I was choosing the receipt from a saved report filtered to choose certain items, which the receipt did contain. The second time I was able to reverse, no problem.
amandaksm, thanks for the solution. That worked. I will be sure to set my computers to not allow any updates so they can't break the software any further.
I used to like quickbooks and qb pos. After 22 years of using them, I am actively looking for a different software today. They continue to play these nonsense games. I'm done.
would you please share the way you did it ? we installed the old QB POS V18 and it forces us to check for updates where it goes on a loop of updates.
@Guy73You went back too far in versions. I had the same issue. You need to install a web patch to bring it to a slightly newer version. There are still ways to download the patches from Intuit, but you'll just have to search around to find them.
Okay, I found a quick and old solution!
I closed QB POS. I changed my date to January 2021. Ran QB POS. Changed the date back to October 2021.
I was now able to Reverse my receipt. :)
An simple old solution to many problems.
We have same issue ......... this is not right.
If seeking legal options I am in.... will pay my part..... someone needs to stand up to these crooks.
we have version 18 pro spent ton of money buying 6 licensees. Now we can not even reverse if wrong customer account was charges or teller error!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow>>>>>>.
I have tried calling Intuit .......... Got hung up few times. I will keep calling .... We all should do the same till they fix it.
This worked for me too. Thank you!!!
