Quickbooks Crashes When Logging in as Admin

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, dso0216.

Let's run the QuickBooks File Doctor to get you back on track if you experience any issues opening QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) or the file as the administrator. It is an effective tool for diagnosing and resolving a variety of frequent issues with QuickBooks company files as well as network problems. Here's how to launch the utilities:

  1. Make sure to close your QuickBooks.
  2. Then, download the latest version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and click Save File.
  3. Open the QuickBooksToolHub.exe link.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
  5. Next, double-click the icon on your desktop to access the tool hub.
  6. From there, head to the Company file Issues menu on the left panel and choose Run QuickBooks File Doctor. Please know that the process may take up to one minute.
  7. In QuickBooks File Doctor, pick your company file from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see it, select Browse and search to find your file.
  8. Choose Check your file (middle option only) and then Continue.
  9. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and click Next.

When the scan is complete, you must open QuickBooks and the company file. You can find more information about the tool in this article: QuickBooks File Doctor. It goes into detail about when to choose to Repair the file for your existing version of QuickBooks or open the file in a newer version of the desktop program.

For future reference, feel free to bookmark the Community page in your browser. It includes resources to help your business thrive and articles to guide you on how to manage your accounting tasks smoothly.

Feel free to visit the Community again if you have other product-related concerns or questions about using  QBDT 2023. I'd get back to respond to them. Enjoy your weekend.

Quickbooks Crashes When Logging in as Admin

I encountered the same error about ucrtbase.dll, windows defender was blocking quickbooks causing it to crash, and allowing it through windows defender fixed it for me.

Quickbooks Crashes When Logging in as Admin

Holding the "ALT" key when logging in will prevent any window that was previously opened (previous session) - from re-opening.  It fixed my issue - Thank you!
