Hi, so the business I support recently upgraded from Quickbooks Enterprise 2021 to 2022. Since then, we've had a few users report that whenever they open up Quickbooks, Chrome and Quickbooks crashes. The business I'm in heavily relies on Chrome, so unfortunately using a different browser is not an option.
I've tried the Quickbooks Tool Hub features to try and fix the issue, but unfortunately the problem persists.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quickbooks and Chrome, but that didn't work.
I've tried clearing the Google Chrome cache, and that didn't work.
I've monitored system usage and resources don't come close to 100% usage, so I don't believe it's a hardware issue.
I'm running out of ideas here. Has something like this happened to anybody else, or does anybody have an idea on how to fix this issue?
I appreciate your efforts for trying some troubleshooting steps to get this resolved, @@kansascity. I'm here to share additional steps to fix your QBDT using Google Chrome
You can use the Verify and Rebuild features in QuickBooks. The Verify Data self-identifies the most commonly known data issues within a company file while Rebuild Data self-resolves most data integrity issues that the Verify Data finds.

Hello,
I really appreciate you trying to help, but unfortunately we've already tried rebuilding company data. Since I last posted, this has become a company wide issue, with every user having Quickbooks and Chrome crash at one point or another when both are open.
And when I say crash, I mean that both programs close out immediately without so much as a crash report. We never had this issue with QB enterprise 2021, so I'm not sure what changed here. Gone as far as to do a full reinstall of Windows 10 pro, but this problem persists. Is there a way to put a ticket in or something?
Upgraded from Quickbooks Pro Desktop 2019 to 2022. Experiencing same issue. When starting QuickBooks, 2022 Chrome instances are closed and have to be restarted. Have run verify and confirmed no errors. Please advise.
Thanks for following up with the Community, kansascity. I also appreciate you joining this thread, sbitsolutions.
I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no records of subscribers reporting that both QuickBooks and Chrome are crashing at the same time when running QuickBooks.
Since Joesem M's troubleshooting steps didn't solve this issue, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team directly. They'll be able to pull up your accounts in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

I can share some troubleshooting steps that can fix this issue, clickcomp.
I've checked here on our records and there's no reported case about this one. QuickBooks crashing issue with Chrome is usually caused by a damaged component in the program. Let's make sure you're using the latest release of your QBDT product. This way, you'll always get our bug fixes and security patches. If the same thing happens, just install QuickBooks Tool Hub and then run the Quick Fix my Program utility. This helps resolve major issues and errors that a user might face while working in QuickBooks Desktop. We recommend running it on Windows 10, 64-bit for the best experience. Here's how:
Once done, it's time to run the Quick Fix my Program utility:

None of these fixes from Quickbooks support work. I have been having issues on 4 company computers since March of 2022. It happens upon opening and closing out of Quickbooks and is becoming an issue with work flow in our office. Intuit needs to fix this ASAP. I know of others having the same issue so it is a widespread issue and it needs to be addressed.

This has been going on for months. I have a desktop and a laptop with QBs 2022 and use Chrome. Every single time I open up both of them or I switch from one client's data file to another either Chrome or QBs shuts down. I have utilized QBs Tool Hub, updated the program, updated Chrome, cleared cache, etc. and nothing has fixed it. There were critical fixes that I just installed and it worked once after I ran them and the Tool Hub and it's back to doing it again.
I too am having these same problems on our company system. Only fix was to use Microsoft Edge, which really isn't an option for us. We need to be able to work in Chrome WHILE also working in QuickBooks!!

There are so many threads about this issue , and every QB team member is answering differently... few telling NO investigation is going on ... some telling they are working hard to fix it... The bottom line is hundreds of users are experiencing this SAME issue for months but going back and forth we are at stage 1 noting resolved QB wants only $$$ yearly...
I believe this issue is finally resolved. I noticed over the last several days that Chrome is not crashing when I open QBs or switch between data files.
FINALLY!!! yes looks like it was fixed, it's time for a good competition to come in and beat QB so they won't raise the prices again and again and manipulate the market!
