Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowWe currently have (or should I say HAD) Quickbooks Desktop 2024 Contractor Edition three users. Fast forward to my issue.
ACE CLOUD is hosting our Quickbooks since we are mix of pc and Mac users this worked for us.
Knowing that QBDT was being discontinued we have been working to get our information for our companies into QBO. This would be our second time moving to QBO. The last time we tried this using the migration assistant (think that's the name) our information did not transfer correctly. So, we hired a Bookeeper about 1.5 years ago to correct our company information.
ACE CLOUD, who currently hosts our Quickbooks, is not being ALLOWED to lease us a few months because QUICKBOOKS will not let them. BUT Quickbooks will allow me to renew my subscription for $2000 for three users. I only need one user. Their response was pay to renew for the three users then downgrade on Camps to one user and request a refund.
Now, I think this is ridiculous. They never downgraded to the two users when I had asked months ago so no refund there. Not to mention we have been paying for QBO and a Bookeeper for over 1.5 yr now too.
Quickbooks support is literally NON-EXISTANT and I am past frustrated. Is there anyone that has real help for us? Or am I just needing to manually input the entire year for our second company into Quickbooks?
Is anyone else having this issue?
Not that this matters, but in the preview it says I am a new member. Not a new member. I am actively in here looking for support and read a lot of the community responses. We've been using Quickbooks for our company since 2000.
Thanks for listening,
You have QB Desktop 2024 Premier Plus for 3 users, correct?
You cannot downgrade the license. You can purchase a (reusable) license for a single user if needed. You do not need to renew your 3 user license.
I understand that navigating recent changes with QuickBooks Desktop can be challenging, 4afitlife. When you renew your product, it'll charge you for a three user subscription. Let me help you navigate through this process and find the best solution for your needs.
Since you need only one user, I suggest contacting our sales team for the best options and benefits.
Here's how:
To migrate from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can use the migration tool or manually import your files. Note that not all information will transfer seamlessly.
Refer to this article for steps to migrate your data: Move your QBDT file to QBO.
If you choose to manually import data into QBO, you'll need to export it from your desktop version first and then manually enter it into QBO. To ensure a smooth transfer, consider using a third-party app to handle any non-transferable information.
For more information, see this article to understand how your features and data move from QBDT to QBO: Learn how features and data move from QBDT to QBO.
Additionally, you can set up your company info and settings once done. Refer to this article for detailed steps: Get started with QBO.
We appreciate your continued trust in QuickBooks since 2000. Together, we'll find the best path forward to meet your needs. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please reach out. I'm here to ensure you have all the support you need.
Quickbooks support would not sell me a one user license. He told me that I could pay for the three user license and request a refund for the two users.
Quickbooks support told me that I would have to renew our current license then I could request a refund for the two users.
Not doing that.
Their billing system is rigid. The support guy who gave you the option just babbled. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and they can help to obtain a single user license for your case.
