A few times a day, my QB starts buffering and I cannot do anything for about 2 minutes each time! Can anyone suggest why this would be hapening?

Let me explain why you're getting this trouble when running QuickBooks Desktop.
Let's perform some of the troubleshooting steps to help fix the issue. Before anything else, make sure to install the latest QuickBooks Desktop release version. This helps keep QBDT up-to-date and get the newest features or product enhancements.
After that, run the Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool. This tool helps resolve common QBDT errors.
