Quickbooks desktop file opens login get all sorts of messages and then gives error and closes way to run rebuild

Quickbooks desktop file opens login get all sorts of messages and then gives error and closes way to run rebuild. Is there a way I can bypass all of these messages to get up to file and rebuild or a key command I can press to run rebuild. The messages won't let me click on anything else.

There could be many reasons for this issue.  Make sure your QuickBooks desktop subscription is up to date.  I would recommend going into the control panel > programs > see if there is an option to repair.  Can also try before you open QuickBooks desktop right clicking and selecting "run as administrator".

Another option, which is only recommended if you have experience with, is to do a back up and restore to the last time it was working, maybe an update caused the issue.

Sorry couldn't be any more help, I've had issues with desktop in the past with corrupt files and such.  QuickBooks Desktop new subscriptions will eventually be discontinued so unfortunately you will eventually have to decide whether to convert to QuickBooks online.

The error message you encountered is an indication of a potential data integrity issue, Cbusa. I'd like to share a few steps that could help you fix the error and work effortlessly with your company file.

Since you encountered an error message while running the Rebuild Data tool, I suggest installing the QuickBooks Tool Hub and running the QuickBooks File Doctor. This tool helps rectify common errors when working with QuickBooks Desktop. For optimal results, we recommend running this on Windows 10, 64-bit.

Here's how to use it:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install, then agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, it's time to run the Quick Fix my File utility:

  1. From the tool hub, select the Company File Issues tab.
  2. Select Quick Fix my File.
  3. Once the process is completed, click OK and then open QuickBooks again.

If you still get an error message upon backing up your company file, you'll have to run QuickBooks File Doctor:

  1. From the tool hub, go to the Company File Issues tab.
  2. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor
  3. Choose your company file from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select Check your file (middle option only), then click Continue.
  5. Enter your QuickBooks admin password, thenNext.

Once the scan finishes, open QuickBooks and your company file. Please know that your issue may have been resolved even if the scan says it was unsuccessful.

I'd also share these links that guide you in updating your company file and fixing issues when syncing your QBDT data:
