Do you need to access the same file in multiuser mode?
I see your interest in installing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) on two computers, @TNT 1. I'll be happy to guide you on how.
Before that, please know that QBDT for Mac and QBDT for Windows are two different platforms. That said, you need to purchase separate licenses to install them. I recommend reaching out to our Sales team to learn more about the products and assist you further in purchasing. You can contact the phone number listed in the upper part of this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop Support.
Alternatively, you can perform a parallel window setup to run QBDT Windows on a Mac version and vice versa. However, you need to search for a compatible third-party application outside QuickBooks to do so.
You'll also need a multi-user license for two users to access the company file simultaneously. To find out how many user licenses you have, press F2 on your keyboard and refer to the number listed in the User Licenses section. If you wish to add, I'll share this article for your guide: Add a user license to your QuickBooks software.
In addition, I'll be sharing this reference to help you set up your QBDT for multi-user mode: Host your company data in multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop.
We're only a few clicks away whenever you have clarifications or questions about installing QBDT. We'll ensure to assist you promptly. Take care and wishing you continued success in your business!
