I would like to know if it is possible to reset QB to the beginning before I play around in it and create multiple dummy accounts with invoices and payments? With that being said, you should know I have created  customized invoice and statement templates.  I am trying to learn before going live.

In QuickBooks Desktop, there’s no limit in creating a company file. Instead of resetting the one you’re currently using, add a new data file for the actual business.
Here’s how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks.
  2. In the No Company Open screen, choose the Create a new company option.new company.png
  3. This will take you to the QuickBooks Desktop Setup page.
  4. Pick how you wish to set up the desktop program.
*Express Start or Start Setup if you want to get started right away. You only need to enter your business name, industry, and business type to create your company file.
*Detailed Start if you want to do a complete setup so all of your info is in from the start.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

For more details, check out this article: Create a QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Once done, you can personalize QuickBooks for your business. I’m adding a guide to help you get started. It includes links for each task you can do in QuickBooks. : Self-help article.
