Join nowHello. Does anyone have an issue with the QB 2020 of constantly rebuilding the data after doing a back up? I just upgraded to the 2020 QB last month and this is constantly happening. Did not happened when I had the old versions.
Hey there, @joeycalove.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
When creating a local back up, there's a setting in the options menu to run a verify before backing up the company file. What this verify does is scans the company file for data damage, if any data damage is found, it will ask you to rebuild the company file to clear the damage.
Since you've stated that yours is continuing to run a rebuild, may I ask if you're returning any unresolved errors in the results? If so, can you provide a screenshot of the results page? Knowing more details about what types of errors the rebuild is or is not clearing will help to get to the bottom of these concerns.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your response. Should you have further questions or concerns, please let me know. Take care!
Hi ToriB. Thanks for the quick recommendation. I was able to resolve the issue earlier. The error codes 110 and 189 kept on showing up whenever I rebuild the files. There was a recommendation in the Community that has the same issue and I tried it and it solved the issue (deleting the payroll entry and re-creating it).
Have a great day!
