Record opening balance

I created new Item/Service called Customer Opening Balance and mapped it to Equity Opening Balance account from chart of accounts .

When i use this item to add opening balance for the customer , the Credit side of entry stays Sales income not Equity opening balance account . Why ???

I checked already , and it needs to logout from QB and sign in again to accept the new item created with the GL account i need .

it is working Ok now .

It should not. Double check the item and insure that OBE is selected as the income account

and check the chart of accounts to be sure you do not have an income account accidentally named that way
