recurring transactions

I have just converted to QB online.  I have monthly invoices saved as recurring transactions.  I have found were to print those invoices, but it is not changing the date "next date" to the next month.  Suggestions??

recurring transactions

Hello, waellis.

I'm here to show you how you can change the next date for your recurring transactions.

First off, when you say it's not changing the date, do you mean that you can't set it to the next month? Did you receive an error while doing so? More details would help so I can lay down the ideal solution. In the meantime, let's do the following steps to resole this.

It's likely that the next dates in QuickBooks Desktop still uses the old date instead of the next month. Since you've already processed the conversion, you'll want to manually change the dates of your recurring transaction templates. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Recurring transactions
  2. On your recurring template, click the arrow icon beside Edit
  3. Choose Skip next date

You can also adjust the template or invoice date by clicking the Edit link. Adjust the Start date and the Interval if needed, then click Save template

For invoices that were already created from the template itself, you'll want to manually edit them to change the Invoice date (and adjust the Due date if needed).

Also since you've recently converted to the Online platform, you'll want to read these articles. They will guide you on what to do after converting (and after dealing with the recurring transactions and invoices):

Need help navigating around QuickBooks Online? You can browse a topic here and look for an article of your choice. Our articles have guides on user interface navigation, how to manage your customers and income, etc..

I have more things to show you on what you can do in the Online platform. Just post here if you have other questions and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Is there a way to change the time the invoices go out? For example, they're going out at 4:34 AM and I'd like them to be sent between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM EST.

Good morning, @sfranek

Thanks for joining in on this thread. I can help answer your question about recurring transactions.

As for now, setting a time for a recurring invoice to be sent out isn't available. However, this is a great suggest and I'll definitely send this feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in the next update.

I'm only a comment away if you have any more questions or concerns about QuickBooks. Have a wonderful Monday!
