Rejected Quotes are sent out as Accepted Quotes to Client

I'm having major issues with my quotes.
I can't send out expired or rejected quotes to my clients. I like to send out invalid quotes to remind clients to follow up and monitor their jobs and that the price is no long valid.

The screenshot shows top left as rejected quote and bottom right being sent out as accepted... It confuses my customers and makes me look like I don't know what I am doing.

Rejected Quotes are sent out as Accepted Quotes to Client

Welcome to the Community, @BrentV.

The option to show rejected status once you send a quote is unavailable. However, you can add a note that its status is rejected in the Message displayed on estimate field or in the Description column. Then you can send it to your customer again.

You can also refer to this help article in case you've got other QuickBooks concerns, such as setting up advanced reports, online banking, manage reconciliation, transactions, import and export data lists, etc. This way, you'll have better ways on how to manage your business effectively.

That doesn't answer or solve the issue.

How can I write a 'Quote Rejected/Expired' message in note when the bottom of the quote says 'Accepted By'? Particularly when they receive accepted quotes from me all the time for purchase orders.

That would be very confusing for a client..

Thanks for getting back to us, BrentV.

As I've mentioned, we're unable to remove the "Accepted By"  when sending a rejected quote to a customer. However, to inform your customer that it's already rejected, you can manually add a note in the Message displayed on quote section or in the Description column.

I understand your message. But that is not a solution to a template coding problem..

I know I can put REJECTED anywhere, into a custom box, but I've used up all my custom boxes. Forms only allow 3 custom boxes...

Description is used for my items that are being quoted...

Expiration date can be added into the top section.

I have found that many corporates don't read my quotes properly, and just look at the figures. So I need to have the 'REJECTED' status clearly defined, not added to a small box that contradicts the 'ACCEPTED BY' status on the bottom of the quote which I can't remove.

QBO Dev Team need to fix something like this.

I just wont send out rejected quotes direct from QBO system. I have to pdf the quote and paste a REJECTED stamp on it before sending... BUT QBO is supposed to simplify my data and accounting processes...
