Buy nowThey should have pulled the update when they were notified of the issue which appears to have been around 2/19. I installed the update on 2/24 and then chaos then ensued the very next morning! YAY ME!
It might just be a database field name mismatch and an easy fix. Hopefully!
Agreed. It started on 2/19 for me and still continues...
Lemondoodle sorry to tell you....it don't work like that with Intuit....never easy fix for them
If Intuit gets their act together and ships the correct fix, your reports will start working again automatically.
Email I have this morning:
We’re reaching out to you about a recent issue you reported: QuickBooks Desktop: After the R13 update Memorized Reports display incorrect columns. Good news! We reviewed your case and we're happy to say this issue was resolved with our latest release of QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm kinda of skiddiest to try it. Afraid it might be worse
Thank you for letting us know it worked for you! Hope we don't have to go through this again..EVER!!!
I thought I was going crazy the other day when all my columns were different. I just tried to update my QB 2/28/25 as they said they fixed the issue. That does not work. I still have the issue. This is really slowing me down when I have to rebuild reports. Why did someone say the issue was fixed?
I tried to do an update this morning as well and there was nothing new available. So it's still messed up. Who knows when they'll fix it.
Looks like the Audit Report is back to normal. My custom memorized ones are all still messed up. What a joke!
OK, so there was nothing new updated according to my update screen. However, the Audit Report is back to normal looking now. NONE of my custom memorized reports are back to their original format. I had fixed a couple of them and memorized/replaced the messed up reports on Tuesday and had been using them just fine through yesterday. NOW those are messed up AGAIN! Going to have to re-do those again. This is insane!

We appreciate your patience as we work to address this.
Clearly since you, as a member of the QuickBooks Team, have replied to a post in this forum on the stated issue at hand................QuickBooks already knows they have a major problem. As a QB user, Intuit has my email address as they periodically send out emails to it's users which they can do now to keep us "informed on the next steps". I am busy doing my job and will wait and expect the tech support team to do theirs while they fix this massive mess.
FWIW, I shut down Quickbooks and restarted my computer. When I opened Quickbooks(Enterprise), I got the little rectangle that says "Updating Quickbooks". After it completed, mine were fixed. I had to re-do the ones I had modified yesterday, however.
Jimmy39 Thank you for letting us know what happened for you. I hope all the rest of us can have similar good experience with this "fix" , if not a complete fix. I'm opening up client data that I had not opened since the mess-up and I am running verify and rebuild data before I check my memorized reports on them. This is just so time consuming. We have over 35 client files we have to "fix" if all have been messed up. I'm hoping not all need memorized transactions reconstructed. What a pain......
Gee, I wish they'd email me. I'm using Enterprise on RightWorks. Still messed up and no communication from Intuit.
Fran.....To receive the messages from Intuit, you've had to have called them and have them put you on the list to be emailed update, etc. regarding this mess-up. I only received the one...that I posted earlier. Unfortunately, seems like the problems have not been fixed completely.
QuickBooks came out with a "fix" basically just recreate all your reports and move the ones that don't work to a new group. I have 28 memorized reports that got messed up with their update and this is their solution? This is unacceptable!
Looks like it fixed the standard generated reports like the audit report but my custom memorized reports are still messed up. I knew they weren't going to be able to get it all back to normal. I fixed a few of my custom reports Tuesday and have been using them fine since then But this morning, they were messed up again so I had to fix them AGAIN. I'm holding off on trying to re-format any more of mine until I know they are done messing things up on their end. I've spent too much time trying to sort out what columns/data are missing from my custom memorized reports and can't afford to have any more of my time wasted by QB. I still think QB / Intuit should have sent a mass email out to users letting them know there was a report issue with the R13P update that they would let us know when it's fixed. You know they have our email addresses. We get reminders about updates so you know they can do it. We shouldn't have to go around our ArSes to get to our elbows for basic customer service for the amount of money this software costs including the increases every year.
Arcelectric I agree with you on all you've said. However, to make sure I would get email from them about this crappy situation, while I was on the phone with Kory he asked if I wanted to be on the email list for this mess-up updates. I told him to do so. Glad I did because that email was there this morning for me (even though program still not working right).
Oh that's insane! I have 27 memorized reports. Almost all of them were created between 10-15 years ago. I have a few that took hours to make. I can't possibly remember everything on all of these. There are a couple that were created before me by someone no longer around. I am not looking forward to any of this.
WHY do I have to waste more of my time in a chat or sitting on hold simply to give you my email so you can send me the 'fix'? This is outrageous.
Oh lord, I just restarted QB and got the message with the link to the "fix". You're not joking! They really want us to RECREATE our damaged reports!!! Below is what they call a solution to their screw up. Unbelievable!
I can't even start the process because the backup has to be done in Single User Mode. It's normal business hours here and I have employees logged in working with customers. I can't just shut us down for the time it takes to run a backup (in case this doesn't work) Rebuild Data, Verify Data and run another backup
Just wait. You're NOT going to like the fix. See below, I copied from the link I got when I restarted QB. I can't do this until after business hours because the backup, rebuild and verify have to be ran in Single User Mode. I can't close my company for over an hour for this mess.
