Join nowHas anyone with a QBO Advanced subscription through Tech Soup been able to do a Restore from a Backup? I was told today by a Tech support person that this was not an available function for Tech Soup subscribers. I cannot find where this is documented anywhere.

thanks for follow up and information. I think the primary thing that caused the problem to begin with, was not having turned off any Automation features in Advanced> Setup. Which I finally found our about after 15 hours of it not progressing and then it produced an Error message.
Also, the fact it took almost four hours instead of 5-10 minutes or an hour.
I would strongly suggest that Intuit/QBO add the following key things to know when doing a Restore:
1 - Make sure you turn OFF and Automation features, then turn back on after the Restore
2 - Make sure you are signed in as an Admin. Maybe you can't even see backup and Restore as another user, not sure.
3 - Change the expected time to complete, or qualify, based on what you are restoring from/to. I only had one month's worth of data, but had done quite a bit of adding list items, vendors and customers. This, I am guessing took extra time for our Restore.
The final comment I have, would PLEASE ensure that the Help/Tech people are are informed that Restore DOES work for Nonprofits that have a subscription through Tech Soup!
Thank you for posting here in the Community, @ECHO_fin.
Let me share some information about the QuickBooks Online Advanced backup feature.
If you’re using QuickBooks Online Advanced, it allows you to save and restore online backups of your accounting data. You can set an automatic schedule, one-time manual backups, or save a copy of your data to Google Drive.
To restore your data, you can follow the steps below:
Please know that you should log in to your QBO Advanced as an admin to restore your accounting data. It also takes about 5 to 10 minutes to restore, depending on the amount of data.
You can also check out this article to read additional information on how to set automatic and manual backups: Backup and restore your QBO Advanced Company.
That’s it! If you have additional questions or concerns regarding with QBO Advanced Back-up feature, don’t hesitate to leave a comment below. I am always here to help. Keep safe.
Ok, I did exactly what is in the written documentation and what you wrote. I was signed in as myself and am an Administrator, however, I don't usually use our Master Administrator sign in unless necessary. I set up the Backup function as My Admin sign-in/role and it has been backing up since Oct 10. Since you mentioned Admin user (just in case) I signed in this morning as the Master Admin to see if it would be different. When I go to the Backup company, it wants the Master Admin to connect the company, and then says:
Hello there, @ECHO_fin.
I appreciate your efforts in trying to restore the backup of your data for QuickBooks Online Advanced. Allow me to get you pointed in the right direction to get this issue sorted out.
As mentioned by my peer above, the restoration process may take time, depending on the amount of your data. Since the status wasn't changed after an hour of restoring the data, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the necessary tools that can help identify the root cause of this matter and apply a fix.
To reach them:
Please keep me posted on how the call goes. I want to ensure you're all set. Keep safe!

Solved - Automation needed to be turned off. Restore took quite a bit longer than 1 hour. It would've been helpful and save a LOT of my time if the the Chat or Phone support Tech people would've pointed out I needed to make sure that Automation was turned out. However, the Phone support Person from Intuit after signing on to my system ended up telling me that because we had a Tech Soup QBO Advanced subscription we could not use the Restore function. However, I pressed on as I did not believe this to be reasonable or true. Please add information to your instructions for Restore. See my additional comments in this post. Thanks for following up.
