You can still purchase QB Desktop 2023 Pro/Premier/Mac/Enterprise. If Intuit Sales team didn't help, you can purchase licenses from selected partners/reseller.
I called and sales rep said there was no more stand alone version and I could only purchase subscriptions and retailers also only have subscriptions. Please advise how I can get a stand alone desktop version.
You can purchase a new one time license for QB Desktop 2021 US Premier for 5 users from a reseller. Otherwise, you may find a pre-owned license in the marketplace.

I wish you didn't have to go through that situation. If you are currently using QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, or Enterprise Solutions v20 accounting software, it will be discontinued by May 31, 2023. And it has been a blow for many businesses that rely on QuickBooks, and the clock is ticking for business owners to find alternative accounting software.
Worry less. I am here to assist you in determining other options for continuing to use QuickBooks products.
To get through this and keep using our program for your business, you'll want to upgrade to the recent version of QuickBooks Desktop, QBDT 2023. But is it standalone? I do not want a subscription. It is not cost effective for my business.
I appreciate you returning to our Community discussion, @scan wizard for desktop. I understand how practical it is for you to utilize QuickBooks efficiently and effectively.
Please know that the standalone QuickBooks Desktop product you utilize will remain usable. However, the add-on services you use through your QuickBooks Desktop 2020 version will be discontinued after May 31, 2023. These include access to payroll services, live support, online backup, and online banking. This also implies that, as of June 1, 2023, you won't be receiving critical security updates. Therefore, you need to manage or move your data because your actions will be limited before the prescribed deadline.
Additionally, QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a subscription only and not a one-time purchase. To access its products and features, QBO provides monthly and annual payment options. Check out the QuickBooks Online price page to view the complete list of subscription features.

QB Desktop is only subscription-based starting with 2022 versions. You need to track down a 2021 or earlier version if you want a one-time fee.
2021 desktop versions will no longer be supported and that means I will not be able to do payroll or take payments. good thought I tried that.
Now that I have wasted an entire day on this issue. There is no longer a stand alone version of quickbooks and 2021 will be no longer supported the only option is subscriptions for desktop product or online version. I have set up informational mtgs with Oracle and Fresh Books which right now are rating higher in customer service and effectiveness than Quick books. I am guessing due to the no more desk top version. A yearly desktop subscription is just no economical for my very small business. I am not willing to cut into my profit line by 600 per year.
Thank you everyone for your help! I have discovered that QB is no longer small business friendly.

You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert data to Oracle Netsuite or Freshbooks later.
