(SDK question) How to find the date when a Credit Memo is applied on an Invoice

Hello QB experts,

Quickbooks desktop question.

Using QB SDK, is there a way we can find on what date/time a credit memo was applied to Invoice ? We have a large credit memo that was applied to multiple invoices on different dates. We are trying to retrieve this data using the SDK but we are not able to.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Jay

QuickBooks doesn't track the date the link was created and so there isn't a way to get at it. Why do you care? Maybe there's another way, depending.

(SDK question) How to find the date when a Credit Memo is applied on an Invoice

Hello,

Thanks for your update.

We are trying to find, at any given point of time, whether an Invoice is fully paid or not.

Once an invoice is created, over a period of time, small payments are received for the Invoice and also multiple credits were applied at different points of time.

Basically we are trying to generate a running balance I should say.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, caomit.

You can verify if an invoice was paid by reviewing it in your Transaction List by Customer report.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Reports, then Customers & Receivables.
  2. Choose Transaction List by Customer.
  3. Click Customize Report, then access your Filter tab.
  4. Search for Transaction Type, then pick Invoice.
  5. Go to Paid Status and hit Closed.
  6. Select OK.
