search customer address

I used to be able to use the search to find customers by address. We are an HOA and it was incredibly useful to find a customer name by address. Now the search just plain sucks. How can we fix this.

search customer address

I appreciate you posting here in the Community forum, @wildflowerexeter. I'd be glad to assist with your first post. I would also feel the same way if the current search functionality in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is not working as expected. Let's get this process as seamless as possible.

To efficiently search for clients by address, include the Address column in the customers table section. This step will help you quickly locate those entries within the program.

Here’s how you can do this:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Sales button and choose Customer Hub.
  3. Tap the Customers section.
  4. Click the Gear icon above the ACTION option.
  5. Tick the Address checkbox.

If the search function doesn't provide appropriate results or it seems unresponsive. I recommend clearing your regular browser's cache, since accumulated files can cause certain features in QBO to stop functioning as intended. You can follow the steps in the appropriate article below, based on your browser:

Lastly, use an updated and supported web browser for security and improved QuickBooks functionality.

Following these steps should enable you to search customers efficiently, @wildflowerexeter. If you encounter any difficulties, please comment below. I’m here to ensure everything is working as it should in QuickBooks.
