Search for customer in desktop

Does anyone else have the problem that if you don't get everything perfect while searching for a customer you will get no results? For example, a customer may have a dash between the company name but if you don't put it there will be no found results. It is not only that, you shouldn't have to type the entire  name for results to show but the search is outdated. I also hate the way after you type a name you have to use your mousse instead of enter...what a waste of time. And yes, I have preferences set up correctly.

You've got me here to share additional insights about the search feature in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Karen181.

I hear you, and I can see the benefit of being able to get the appropriate result when you search for a customer name in QBDT. With this, you'll first have to make sure your software is updated. This way, you can always have the latest features and fixes. Then, I encourage you to send feedback or product suggestions.

Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team to help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Choose  Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click on Product Suggestion.
  4. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
  5. Select the Product Area.
  6. Then enter your thoughts and suggestions.
  7. Once done, select Send Feedback.

I've attached screenshots below for your reference.

Also, I'm adding this article to further guide you in managing your business growth and income transactions in QBDT: QuickBooks Help Articles for Sales and Customers. It also includes related articles about emailing sales forms and refunding transactions, to name a few.

I'm all ears if you have other concerns about searching for customers and managing them in QBDT. You can drop a comment here, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success.

My software is up to date. This wasn't helpful at all. Still a problem.
