Stop the Advertising

QuickBooks Online constantly displays what what are essentially ads for Intuit products and services. It is virtually impossible to complete a session without being nagged to buy something I don't need or want. It's ugly and distracting, and given that I pay a hefty monthly fee for QBO, I resent being subjected to it. Having advertising couched as helpful suggestions only makes it more offensive.

It's exploitive, obnoxious, and wrong. Stop it.

Stop the Advertising

Hi there, @rbryanh.

I hear you and I'm here to help share insights about turning off popups or stopping advertisements from showing in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to turn off popup advertisements in QBO. For now, let's consider clicking or No thanks to get rid of them.

While these in-product advertisements no longer help your working experience, I recommend letting our product developers know about this by sending a request via feedback. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under PROFILE, select Feedback.
  3. Describe how an option to turn off popup ads helps you work efficiently in QuickBooks.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Click Skip and send message.

I'm including our Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online page to track the status of your request and get the latest updates from our developer team. Updates such as how the recent enhancement made to QBO helps our business owners, like you.

It'll always be my pleasure to help if you've got other questions aside from managing ads in QuickBooks. Use the Reply button and leave your comment below so that I, @JonpriL, can lend a helping hand.

Are you f'ing serious? "...let's consider clicking X or No thanks to get rid of them".

Dear Developers, fix the bank connect issue with Navy Federal Credit Union and the double verification every time I connect. It has not worked correctly for about a year.

Then, figure out a way to turn off ALL ADS. Or just do not display them. I pay for this QB service. This is not a free ad driven version.

Or maybe, I will just cancel my subscription and make invoices with Excel.

Wow. This is so not solved. Shame on your team for pretending to care about this and doing nothing.

@The-Maybe-Block  Apparently they, Dio @JonpriL , have just been too busy the past two years to lend the helping hand they spoke of.
