not in QB, export to excel is all there is for that
Glad to see you in QuickBooks Community, @beach111.
@Rustler is right. You can export the report to Excel and add a subtotal from there.
Here’s how:
I'm adding this article about this type of reports in the program: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
Adding this option in QBDT’s Custom reports is currently unavailable. Let me take note of this idea and pass it along to the appropriate department for consideration in future product enhancements.
While we continue to make your experience with us even better, I recommend checking the newest features of QuickBooks Desktop by following the steps below:
Please let me know if you have any other concerns. I’m always here to help. Have a good one!

I can't find anything in the Customize Report dialog box that lets me control the Totals, Subtotals, etc.

Hello there, beach111,
You'll want to export the report first before you can manually remove the subtotals. Doing this inside your QuickBooks Desktop account is unavailable. Here's how:
Check out this article for things you can customize in a report: Customize company and financial reports.
I'll send this suggestion to our product developers. For now, you'll want to export the reports.
Stay in touch with me if you have more questions.
Has any solution to this problem of not having control on weather to print a report with subtotals or not.
Good afternoon. Any chance this functionality has been added yet?
Hi, jstinson1.
I understand that you want to make some changes and improvements to QuickBooks Desktop to meet your business needs. Right now, it's still unavailable. Rest assured that I'll pass along your suggestion to our Product Developers.
QuickBooks uses a concept called Source and Targets to apply accounting principles and processes, like recording transactions and displaying reports.
Understanding Source and Targets help you maximize report filters so you can create more effective reports and faster-advanced finds.
As a workaround, we can export reports as excel in QuickBooks Desktop. You can check out this article for more information about exporting reports in QuickBooks Desktop: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.
Additionally, you can also check out understand reports to learn more about everything you can do with QuickBooks Desktop. This way, you'll be a pro before you know it when it comes to building a report.

Is that feature is Available Now..?

- The Source is the summary information about the transaction and includes the source account, source name, source memo, source amount, etc.
- The Targets provides detailed information about the transaction and includes the target accounts, target names, target memos, target amounts, etc.

This feature is still unavailable for now, @Don1996.
We're unable to provide the exact time frame to when this will be integrated with our program. Though we receive a lot of features requests, our developers are closely reviewing any added features in QBO to avoid errors once they're released into the system. We appreciate your patience until this feature is available.
If you haven't sent any feedback yet, here's how you can submit it:
This request will go straight to our Product Development team where they can review it for future updates. You can also follow the workaround shared by my colleague @LeizylM to export the reports to excel.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting our Firm of the Future site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.
