Good day, @pbhults31.
I’m more than happy to provide you with a comprehensive guide on how to connect with our live support team. Before we get into that, let me first address a few possible reasons why your payroll liabilities might not be showing up as expected.
There are a couple of common reasons why payroll tax dues may not appear in the Pay Liabilities section.
- Payments Already Made: One possibility is that the payroll tax dues have already been paid. If you’ve settled your liabilities, they won’t show up in the section for pending payments.
- Payment Frequency Not Set Up: Another potential reason could be that you haven’t set up the payment frequencies for your taxes. It’s important to ensure that everything is correctly configured so that QuickBooks can accurately reflect your payroll liabilities.
To help you check your tax setup, here are the detailed steps you can follow:
- Go to the Pay Liabilities section, select Manage Payment Methods at the bottom.
- In the QuickBooks Payroll Setup window, click Schedule payments.
- Choose a Payment (deposit) method and a Payment (deposit) frequency for all your taxes. Once done, the list of taxes will be updated with their payment method and frequency. If you missed one, just highlight and edit that particular tax.
- Click Finish to exit from the setup window.
Another reason your payroll liabilities may not be appearing could be due to a payment or adjustment that has already been applied to your liabilities. To check for any payments or adjustments, follow these steps:
- Go to Employees menu.
- Select Payroll Center.
- Click the Transactions tab.
- Check the Liability checks, Liability adjustments, or Year-to-date adjustments list to look for payments dated this calendar year or last calendar quarter.
If you prefer to speak with our customer support team directly, here’s how you can connect with them:
