Funny... whenever I come here searching for a way to turn off a new feature that is annoying, or a way to make a feature that used to work on Desktop work in Online, I see the same thing: dozens of pages of people ranting about how "this needs to be fixed immediately!" Those of you looking for an immediate fix, you're obviously new to QuickBooks and the whole Intuit experience. Switch to another platform while you're still new enough to not lose a lot of data or money. Those of us who have been using QB for a long time know that there's no use in complaining. No one there listens.
Apparently the company is run by software developers who build whatever cool thing they want to play with. And if it doesn't work, no worries, they'll just move on to the next cool project. No one there ever fixes bugs and bad "features" reported on these forums. You will see people complaining about the same bug for years. Even if you call, they don't do anything.
I'm still using it because our data is held hostage. No way to export it all somewhere else. I can't afford to pay someone to re-type 15 years worth of entries. So again, if you're just starting your experience with Intuit, cut your losses and get out while you can.
Their latest AI crap is relatively new, so there aren't very many pages of complaints yet. It is totally worthless, but AI is the latest cool thing for programmers to work on. So they're looking for ways to incorporate it, whether it makes business sense or not. There's no chance they're going to turn it off or even make it do something useful. It's just yet another annoyance they added that slows us down and makes us less productive. I should start counting how many times a day I have to click an "X" so I can get back to work. But counting would only take more time and there's no one I could tell about it that would care.
