Validity of Quickbooks Desktop 2018 with Lic Number 6666-6666-6666-005. Should I be suspicious?

I'd say there's little to no chance that's a valid license number.

QuickBooks license numbers are always a number salad, with no apparent rhyme or reason.

Why do you specifically need to use QBD 2018 Pro?

I purchased Quickbooks 2018 enterprise for extremely cheap on ebay that used a license number just like that. I've been using it for 2 years and just noticed that my net income is wrong. I have been overpaying salesreps, I have invoices that aren't showing up in reports. Vendor invoices that aren't going to the job profitability summary. I'm having a very difficult time with it. I believe that is a sales person demo license number. Not fully functional as I can plainly see. Be weary!

Before we proceed, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to address the issue with some invoices not showing on your reports. To start, let's run the Verify and Rebuild Data tools. This will help us find the most common issues in a company file and fix them.

To verify your company data, follow these steps:

1. Go to Window and select Close All.
2. Click the File menu, then Utilities.
3. Select Verify Data.
   • If you find any error messages, search for them on our QuickBooks Desktop support site for how to fix them.
   • If you see Your data has lost integrity, this means that data damage was found in the file. Rebuild your data to fix it.

Here's how to rebuild your company file data:

1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities, then Rebuild Data.
2. QuickBooks will ask you to make a backup before it rebuilds your company file. Click OK. A backup is required before you can rebuild.
3. Select where you want to save your backup, then OK. Don’t replace another backup file. Enter a new name in the File name and Click Save.
4. Select OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
