View checking account balances

We just installed the 2023 QB update and now we cannot view our checking account balances that used to show up. Have tried several different options but still cannot see them quickly like I used to.  Any suggestions?

I have attached a screen shot showing where the information was always seen.

View checking account balances

I appreciate you for sharing a screenshot of how the Account Balances window in your QuickBooks looks like, @GC11. This helps me get on the same page, so I can provide an appropriate resolution.

I can see that viewing the checking account balances helps us know how our daily balances are going. I’ll share two ways on how you can show them on your home page.

I’ve replicated your concern and it seems that you’re using the Left icon bar view. If so, you can select the View balances on the left pane. This will open a window that will show all of your accounts. You can expand it by dragging down the three horizontal dots (...) and customize according to which account you’d like to add.

For your visual reference, I'm adding a sample screenshot:

Moreover, you’ll want to go to the View menu and select Top icon bar. This will show the account balances window above the Do more with QuickBooks. From there, you can also adjust it to show the remaining accounts by clicking the arrow up icon into arrow down.

See this snippet for a clear visual:

View checking account balances

Hello, I have been having the same issue I think with desktop 2022. I am trying to get more account balances to show when I have the top icon bar selected.  When I go to the left icon bar, I have all of them showing but when I go back to the top icon bar, it only will show 3 accounts in the right side of the window.  Is there another step to get them to show up when using the top icon bar? I have went through all the steps you mentioned above but nothing seems to help.

Thank You!
