Price rules went away with the new invoice format (which we hate). When will they be available again?
I see how important this feature is for your business needs, CDuncan. I recognize that the new update has significantly changed how you manage your sales transactions.
We don't have a specific timeframe for when this functionality will be available in the new invoice format. In the meantime, you can manually calculate the discount, create a service item for the markup, and then add it to your invoice.
To set up a service item:
Once done, add the discount item each time you select a product on the invoice page. Please see the attached screenshot for visual reference.

Moreover, once your customer has remitted payment for the invoice you have issued, it's essential to record the transaction to maintain accurate accounting records and ensure the proper balance of your accounts.

And yet, you took it away when you didn't have to. So, basically what you're saying is, "Intuit understands how important price rules are (obviously, because we added them to QuickBooks) and even so we just took them away because we felt like it. Have a nice day!"
This is no help, which we are getting used to. I will repeat since it doesn't seem to be said enough. I have used price rules going back to 2007 when I openned my business. What you recommend shows a lack of knowledge and sensitivity to the situation. We are suffering, it is costing me and others money for the increased labor required to deal with it.
Just an FYI, I am working with my accounting firm to find an alternative accounting system. Once we settle on one, I will spend the money to move. Money Intuit will not get. Pass that onto your marketing people.
All you needed to do was bring back the "old" template until you solve the price rules and other issues.
