While adding new time entries I receive an error message says "Something's not right, Please try again later. I switched between Google chrome and Microsoft edge. Why?

Switching web browsers did not fix the issue. What is my next steps?

Welcome to the Community space, Mathon. We'll point you in the right direction to get you through this and add time entries inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

In this situation, we recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can assign a representative to check on your end and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the problem. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
  • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

After reaching out and being on the phone from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, they informed me they would create a ticket that would take 10 to 15 days to resolve. (During that time, the call got dropped several times. But your rep was very good at calling me right back.) I do give the rep credit for trying. 

One of the things we discovered was that of the two different accounts, only one account was not working correctly.

My problem now is, I am a student using this for a class that ends in 10 days. This has forced me to start the company from scratch. Meaning I have to go back to chapter 1 and start over. (Entering data is easy as well as understanding the different accounts to the business.) The challenge is deciphering between the two companies and making sure every I is doted and every T is crossed because this course is based on accuracy and countability. Starting from scratch is the only alternative in order to complete the course on time. So I not only have to finish my exams in the other classes, I now get to start over in this class that has to be completed by the 15th of December. Joy joy!

In a class that requires attention to detail, I am now forced to rush through.
