Sometimes, stored cached and site data in a browser can cause unexpected behavior when using QuickBooks. We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this.
Start by opening a private window and use it to access your account in QBO. This doesn't save your site data and visited pages. Simply press the following shortcut keys:
Log back into check if you can see the drop-down list already. If so, follow the steps in this article to delete your browsing history: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.
You can also check on how to add purchase orders to expenses, bills, or checks in QuickBooks Online to manage them.

Thank you for getting back. Like i said, i tried mostly everything even changing the computers. I believe it has to do something with the latest release which changes the user authority with Suppliers and Customers. Can you please look at the latest release notes aswell.
There could be a setting change with the new update (with terms of user defined roles) and an Admin can only sort it out. This is only my view but i'm yet to confirm.
My colleagues can use it perfectly but with Admin rights.

Yes, its possible that as a standard user, your access was set to limited and and can only access vendor-related activity. You'd want to contact your account's administrator to review the permission given to you. You can share the steps below to your account's admin.
