I can share some information as to why your vendor and payroll check don't match, NYCB.
When printing checks, the alignment will depend on how you adjust the set-up of your print checks, as there are several reasons to consider. Let's figure out those reasons to ensure payroll check printing preferences are correctly set up. Here's how:
8. Select the Update Settings button.
9. Click the OK button.
After that, ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Also, you can check the other troubleshooting steps for browser and software issues and see how to configure your print settings for printing checks.

Thank You. It's not made clear in the set up that changing the number will shift the entire check format over.
I can move it over as far as it will go and it still does not let the employee name clear the "Pay to the Order of" we had no problem until about a month ago. Printing checks for vendor payments or expenses are OK - it is just payroll checks we cannot get to align no matter what we do!

I'm having the same issue. Payroll checks and vendor checks print with different alignment. I cannot get the payroll check to demonstrate proper alignment - the spacing between the "Pay To", Amount, address and memo are incorrect.
A proper alignment for your payroll check is essential right now, originalee. I have information about this and let me share it with you.
If your preprinted checks are from QuickBooks, you can adjust the alignment using the steps provided by my colleague above. If you have already tried these steps and the alignment is still incorrect, I recommend contacting our support team. They can further investigate to determine the root cause of the issue. Here's how to contact them:
However, if the preprinted check is not from QuickBooks, you won't be able to adjust the payroll check alignment.

The same thing is happening to me - I called and talked to quickbooks - redid all of the things I had already done and still having a problem - this also occured within the last several weeks before that we had NO trouble. Obviously quickbooks has made some kind of change. We have to print over 100 payroll checks weekly and it is not fun to have to download to adobe and fix each check to employee name does not print over the Pay to the Order of on the check stock.
We value the time and effort you've made, especially with the volume of checks you need to print, Yeafam. I'm here to help and ensure that your concerns are addressed through the appropriate channel.
