Why is QB saying that I owe employers ni when I havnt got anywhere near the allowance threshold?. I have clicked that I’m entitled to it in setup.

Just moved to QB, P32 shows opening balance ( not yet reached max allowance) and last 4 months at 0. On submitting first payroll it has shown I owe employers ni.

Hi accounts-aspectn,

Thanks for joining us here on the Community. 👋

Can I check which version of the payroll you're using, Standard or Advanced? One way to check if you're unsure is to click on the 'Payroll' tab on the left navigation menu, this will display two separate tabs for 'Employees' and 'Payroll' for the Standard version.

Did you enable the small employers relief and enter the opening balance before running the 4 periods? 🧐

I'm being totally dumb....I can see now that it has shown the deduction further down on the p32... eye roll
