In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), the only supported PDFs and images for iOS are JPEG, JPG, GIF, or PNG format. If you use a newer iPhone or iPad, you might have HEIC format images. You may refer to this link for the detailed steps on how to convert it: How to convert existing images to a compatible format.
Also, make sure you already downloaded the QuickBooks Desktop iOS app. Once done, here's how to upload your receipts to QBDT:
Once done, you may now proceed with reviewing, editing, and matching them in the Receipt Management window. Consider checking out this article for further guidance: Upload receipts to QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus or Enterprise.

Fitz,
I confirmed that the settings are checked as Most Compatible. I and three tech support team members have attempted most everything imaginal to solve the problem. One instance I was able to send one snap receipt from my iPhone. Was never able to complete any additional snaps. I have 4 snaps in my app history file. I have been using QBDT for more than 10 years. My company has route drivers that need to send snaps of their fuel receipts. About 8 months ago I started using Bill.com and love most of the feature especially being able to see the invoice, check or other images to post the charge, payment , etc. However when a learned that QBDT had Receipts Management I became very excited and immediately upgraded to QBDT Pro+ just to get Receipts Management even after reading poor reviews on YouTube. I really want help from tech support or the community as that is all that I know to do. I wish that someone could tell the program engineers what the problems are that I am experiencing. Better still you just solve it today and we all can rejoice!
Hi @mrp2,
Thank you for the prompt reply.

I am using QB Enterprise - Manufacturing and Wholesale 21.0 Desktop. We started using the receipt App a few months ago for credit card receipts with our off-site employees. It was working great. But now we are having the issues of iPhone uploads not posting, I receive them in the receipts management, but when I complete the information and try to post it has the Transaction Error ! message. It is very frustrating. I even tried to snag capture the receipt image and save it as .png or .jpg and upload it manually, it STILL won't post. So I just had to go back to "Enter Credit Card Charges" and manually do it. Why is it suddenly not working. So far it has happened to 3 iPhone users.
As an update this is STILL Happening and I tried to change the settings on my phone and it STILL not working. It is also random, some work and some don't. Another EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING ISSUE.
THIS IS NOT SOLVED!!!
Hi there, mary46.
There are multiple ways to get your receipts uploaded in QuickBooks. Since you're unable to upload them using iPhone devices, you can email receipts
You can send multiple receipt images in one email as long as the email size is under 20 MB. Here's how:
QuickBooks automatically pulls dates, amounts, vendors, and the last four digits of the credit card from the image.
About the issue with uploading receipts using iPhone devices, you can report this by contacting our QuickBooks Live Team. They can create a case and send it to our Product Team for investigation.
For now, you can use Android phones while iPhones won't work when uploading receipts.
Don't hesitate to post again if there are other concerns you need help with. The Community forum is always open to provide steps and articles.
Mary - I'm having the same issue with one of six credit card holders. She can upload her receipts, but I can't edit them at all! I called intuit and they are re-opening the investigation.
